For Adtran, we were tasked to develop a cohesive user experience across recent product acquisitions. We achieved this by developing a robust design system. We also developed documentation and offered training to ensure proper implementation.
Adtran’s challenges stem from the acquisition of multiple products in the recent past, each presenting varying user experiences. The initial emphasis on new features and capabilities resulted in de-prioritized user experience which led to usability issues. Brillio partnered with Adtran to improve the experience and ensure Adtran’s brand identity speaks through their platforms.
The roadmap for this engagement included conducting workshops to identify goals and solutions, building a design system through brand analysis, and completing a UX audit of the Mosaic One platform. Components were assessed for Figma documentation, and the platform’s Care and Operate features were redesigned. Hand-off, governance, and training for deployment were provided, while the design system was automated in Storybook, with parallel development with the Adtran team.
We successfully streamlined the clinical trial search, reworked the navigation to feel intuitive, improved search capabilities, enhanced functionality and resolved issues with saving/viewing clinical trials. Effectively, the heightened usability reduced time spent on a singular task while improving task success rates of users.
