Brillio joins Xamarin’s Premier Partner Program to Deliver High-Performance, Cross-Platform Mobile Applications for Enterprise Mobility Workforce
Morristown, NJ – June 17, 2014 – Brillio, a global technology consulting firm specializing in optimizing innovation for leading organizations, today announced the company is joining Xamarin’s Premier Partner Program. Xamarin empowers developers to build fully native apps for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac from a single shared code base, to meet the ever-increasing demands of the enterprise mobility workforce.
Xamarin is the development platform of choice for mobile developers, who create high-performance enterprise mobile applications, and with its latest update, now provides a new ability to design iOS apps without using a Mac and shared UI controls across platforms. Brillio will capitalize on Xamarin’s powerful solution to empower the creation of rich compelling mobile applications that not only leverage enterprise data and processes, but also, enables developers to build a complete app using Xamarin’s new UI code-sharing capability called Xamarin.Forms. Developers now have an API for access to approximately 40 cross-platform controls and layouts that are mapped to native controls at runtime, which means that the user interfaces are fully native.
“Most enterprises today have more than one platform and are embracing BYOD to meet the expectations of their mobile workforce,” said Jeff Wallace, Head of Mobility at Brillio. “Our approach is to future proof our clients’ mobility initiatives. We are able to do this by finding the appropriate emerging technologies in order to provide our enterprise customers with scalable solutions, and migrate business processes and customer interactions to high-performance, native apps on multiple platforms. With Xamarin, we seamlessly leverage our existing C# skills to deliver high-quality native experiences that meet the demanding business needs of our customers.”
“With consumer demand and BYOD, businesses are under tremendous pressure to deliver great mobile experiences quickly,” said Stephanie Schatz, Senior Vice President, Sales Customer Success at Xamarin. “Brillio brings Xamarin expertise and mobile leadership to help these businesses go mobile.”
Brillio’s Mobility practice has a proven track record of developing innovative solutions that incorporate emerging technologies to extend mobile commerce channels, change user behavior, create new business models, and provide future state visions that support the forecasted mandate. With the partnership, Xamarin provides world-class support and training to retrain C# developers into mobile developers and helps enterprise customers extend their applications across multiple devices. Additionally, development teams are able to combine productivity benefits of C#, Microsoft development environment and Azure with the flexibility to rapidly build for multiple device targets. Working with Xamarin, Brillio is now able to share between 50-80 percent of the source code across device platforms while still delivering a truly native experience. This adds tremendous value to Brillio’s clients with respect to time to market, maintenance, support and costs.
