I was able to attend the 8th Global Partner Summit at re:Invent 2019, Las Vegas. The keynote was delivered by Doug Yeum, Head of AWS Worldwide Channels and Alliances. There is a wide range of solutions created by APN partners and partner ecosystem of AWS, which is growing every day. He emphasized on APN partner programs, the new additions to the portal and how partners can innovate more with AWS technical teams to grow with AWS.
Dave McCann, VP of AWS Marketplace, and Sandy Carter, VP of Worldwide Public Sector Programs, also shared the stage with Doug and discussed partner opportunities in their respective areas and different ways of engaging with AWS.
Senior leaders from BP and Avis Budget Group also joined the Global Partner Summit to talk about experiences of their digital transformation journey. Andy Jassy, CEO of AWS, joined Doug for a fireside chat, talking about customer’s priorities and working backward to innovate new solutions powered by AWS cloud.

This program provides access to marketing resources at AWS to help partner with joint GTM strategy and sales, within focused industries. It enables co-selling with AWS field and marketing teams in the live sales opportunities. It stood out as a great opportunity for Brillio to expand into new geographies with new solutions using AWS co-sell strategies.
AWS Service Ready
This program is structured for APN partners who want to build specific services that integrate with AWS. It encourages customers to explore ready products for high availability and is approved by AWS. Customers can evaluate new products and tools scaling their journey to digital transformation with innovative solutions. Focusing on APN technology partners looking to be service-ready with AWS, it was a great learning opportunity for Brillio.
New AWS Retail Competency
Doug announced the new AWS competency for APN partners who have demonstrated success in cloud migrations within the Retail industry. Sharing the understanding of the retail domain, technical landscape, best practices of implementation, this program was just as insightful. The competency is ideal for Brillio to proactively attract business within the Retail industry and use repeatable solutions.
Partner Summit Sessions
Partner summit sessions are a great way to learn about business and technical opportunities. Brillio being an advanced consulting partner and a preferred partner for AWS workspaces, we were interested in learning about architecting the multi-tenant PaaS offerings, migrations and best practices adopted by other partners as well. Brillio has successfully accomplished implementations for enterprise customers. AWS teams who work closely with Brillio’s technical team, advised the launch of the solution at the marketplace to gain momentum.

AWS showcased various products at APN Partner booth at the Expo for partners to build offerings on AWS cloud, take away new ideas, and participate in various programs to take advantage of the available offerings. The AWS Partner Booth at re:Invent was a good learning opportunity for Brillio teams to meet with AWS experts and learn to engage with AWS teams and innovate together.
