Brillio’s 360° approach to architecting data ecosystems helped a Pan-European financial services company to fast track their journey of becoming a self-serve data driven organization.
About the Client
For a Pan-European financial services company with 4000+ employees spanning across 9 countries and multibillion-dollar valued assets, the client’s biggest challenges were to increase the speed of bringing highly accurate and reliable predictive models to market. In a growing industry with increasing credit risk exposures and frauds, it was critical for the client to foresee and minimize these potential business and financial risks.
With its acquisition-led growth strategy across various countries, the client wanted to drive significant revenue growth. However, the growth prospects had been stymied by below mentioned challenges:
Isolated data and disparate reporting systems along with growing regional compliances and regulations
The need for generating crucial insights for enhanced and data driven decision making
Greater time to market due to manual data handling and analysis processes
Need to overhaul the existing data infrastructure to support the business growth ambitions.
To address any foreseeable people, process and political concerns, Brillio anchored an ‘Executive Business Connect’ initiative for client’s team with support from Microsoft team. With insights from an in-depth assessment of client’s data & infrastructure landscape, Brillio developed a scalable Azure based data analytics platform with below architectural tenets:
Accelerate decision science through self-serve data preparation
Protect personal/PII data at source with data tokenization adhering to GDPR principles
Consistent and configurable data ingestion framework
Strong data governance practices and intelligent data quality framework
Incorporate batch and streaming data processing patterns
Brillio followed an MVP approach with each phase focusing on continual build up & improvement. The first phase involved assessment & business use case creation for initial 6 to 8 months, second phase involving due diligence for 4 months, build phase for 1 year and lastly, the operate phase for 3 years.
