Raj Mamodia, CEO of Brillio, shares his insights on Blue Planet and Brillio’s partnership to co-create intelligent hybrid cloud and network management solutions that will advance enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

In January 2019, we announced an investment by Bain Capital Private Equity, which acquired a majority stake in Brillio to further scale our digital transformation offerings. Bain’s investment in Brillio is validation of our vision and strategy, expertise in emerging technologies, agile service delivery and key partnerships.

Building meaningful partnerships with firms with world leading technologies in AI/Cloud/Automation has been core to our strategy, and to that end, we are excited to announce our partnership with Blue Planet, a division of Ciena. With Blue Planet’s networking heritage and focus on intelligent automation software, and our expertise in enterprise digital transformation, cloud and IoT, our companies will partner to launch innovative cloud and network automation solutions to help businesses accelerate and scale digital transformation initiatives.

Accelerating digital transformation in the enterprise

The convergence of Cloud, IoT, AI and SDN is creating new opportunities for enterprises to drive incremental revenue through innovative data driven offerings and accelerating the adoption of on-demand product/solution delivery models in a scalable, cost-effective manner. In fact, Gartner predicts that Enterprise IT spending for cloud-based offerings will continue to grow faster than non-cloud IT offerings, making up 28% of spending in 2022, up from 19% in 2018. Worldwide, public Cloud Application Services (SaaS) revenue will increase to $113B by 2021 at a CAGR of over 16%, also according to Gartner.

While these technologies are transformational for industries across the board, for many enterprises, operating a hybrid multi-cloud environment is challenging and complex. Blue Planet and Brillio are poised to overcome these challenges with intelligent automation solutions that help enterprise customers gain end-to-end visibility of their application and infrastructure assets in a hybrid multi-cloud environment, and that provide service assurance and self-healing capabilities to improve customer experiences and drive operational efficiencies. This is also achieved by improving application availability and Quality of Service (QoS), optimizing network utilization and automating processes to reduce operational overhead.

Partnering on research & development

In addition to our commitment to jointly develop and launch new enterprise solutions, Brillio and Blue Planet will also partner on longer-term R&D efforts.  As the preferred product engineering services providers, Brillio is helping Blue Planet develop solutions that use analytics and automation to enable customers to build dynamic, programmable networks.

Our partnership with Blue Planet also demonstrates our shared commitment and vision for helping enterprises accelerate growth, reduce costs, and unlock new revenue opportunities.  Rick Hamilton, Senior Vice President, Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, says it well: “Blue Planet’s intelligent automation platform, combined with Brillio’s CLIPTM services delivery excellence platform will help companies in manufacturing, logistics, retail and financial services sectors, digitize and scale their business with agility. Our partnership and combined solutions are especially beneficial to enterprise customers looking to efficiently manage their infrastructure in a complex hybrid cloud environment with IoT-driven edge computing requirements. We are excited about what’s to come as our partnership spurs greater innovation and helps us address the large and growing enterprise networking automation market.”
