Sahana Shankar Awarded the HR Rising Star of the Year at the HR Innovation Awards 2016

Ms Sahana Shankar, who heads Organization Development and Behavioural Learning Academy at Brillio won the “HR Rising Star of Year Award” at the HR Innovation Awards 2016 in the Individual Category.

This was organized by the Guild & Hindustan Times Mint Connect in association with CNBC TV 18.

The ‘HR Innovation Awards’ puts innovations at the centre stage. The “HR Rising Star of Year” award was given as a recognition for the HR leaders of the future and for having demonstrated commitment to the HR function, showcase of dedication to the field through continuing education, career progression, mentoring, coaching and been able to demonstrate experience in the execution of progressive HR initiatives during the last 12 – 18 months. Sahana was nominated under the HR Rising Star amidst nominations from well-known organizations across industry.

Sahana has been instrumental in building a culture of learning and has provided thought leadership in formulating frameworks on Competency Assessment, Women Leadership Programme, Coaching, Culture Based Hiring, Role based and Gamified Learning. She feels that the HR Function has evolved significantly during recent years and each new development has brought forth an equal challenge. Digitalization is currently an important accelerator of innovation, which is bringing movement and profound change into the world of work. She believes to remain in business, enterprises must be agile and react quickly to the new developments. Employees have to continue to adapt and develop their skill-sets constantly. Similarly, the human resources teams need to update their know-how equally well, implement and use digital tools. She played a key role in bringing online learning, byte sized, nano and mobile based learning at Brillio.

Ms Sahana is honoured and delighted to receive this award for being the Ambassador of building the culture at Brillio.
