With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision to work remotely and self-isolate did not give many businesses enough time to establish a productive remote working environment.

AWS has stepped up to offer their cloud-based Amazon WorkSpace at minimum or no cost for a limited time. Since these offerings are served through the cloud, there is no on-prem hardware of infrastructure that needs to be installed, and therefore it’s a good fit in today’s business environment. However, the free or low-cost subscription services needs to be customized, so it can be integrated with a company’s security and authentication systems and access to corporate networks.
